What a great wedding year 2013 was.

I had some really wonderful weddings to photograph from Elgin to Kent.  From Linlithgow to Ballathie House Hotel,  From marquees to castles.    Every wedding was different but all equally as lovely as each other in different ways.   The day usually starts with the bride ,  and sometimes the groom, getting ready shots to set the scene.  Then it’s off to the Church or the reception venue for the service.   This is photographed very discreetly with minimum distraction .    After the service is a good time to do the important bride and groom shots –  just 15/20 minutes on their own in a quiet part of the grounds. Back to the reception for the happy couple to relax and greet their guests.- We are in the background taking those fun candid shots that tell the story of the day.  You won’t notice us!!    We also capture all the details that mean so much – the flowers, the cake , the menu,  the bubbles etc  Usually there are family groups to be taken but we get super organised and we don’t take too long doing those,  letting the bride and groom get back to the all important socialising!.    Then it’s into dinner or lunch and we discreetly disappear until its time for the speeches.  By then everyone is very relaxed and we can get some really good laughter shots which are great for the wedding album.   If required we stay on and capture that all important first dance along with  the guests enjoying a reel or jive,  and so completing the story of the day.   What a truly fantastic job I have!!!

To follow are some of my fave photos – one from each wedding last year.
