Top 10 Pet Photographers

Top 10 photographersThere are many photographers out there and it can be extremely difficult choosing the perfect one for you. Indeed we initially wanted to just create a list of the top 10 but we were forced to expand. We have scanned the internet, spoke to customers and looked at finished photographs to identify a list of our favourite photographers around!

Philip Lord

Philip Is a professional photographer who is passionate about working with animals.. He understands that our pets are as individual as we are and will work with his clients to create exactly the right kind of pet portrait that will fit the animals personality perfectly. He never uses high street labs for his products, but instead utilises the services of a specialist professional lab which means that the images produced are of extremely high quality. Each print is individually color corrected and adjusted for density and tonal range and only the best high-grade paper and materials are used.

Heather Beckett

Heather’s main objective is to please her customers – the whole process is a continuous conversation with her clients ensuring she is meeting them. Her quaint and quirky little studio offers something very different from the standard photographer and provides stunning backdrop for photo shoots. We would recommend that you order Heathers service well in advance, as she gets booked up fast.

Rick King

Rick provides coverage throughout the UK He specialises in wedding portraits – however he is also able to capture animals perfectly in photographs as well as family and personal portraits. He also covers location photo shoots as well as parties events and special occasion such as proms christening and engagements,You may think that by covering such a range of services he would not be as talented with his pet photography however he takes to it like fish to water – with impressive results.

Josie Baughan

Specialising in natural, colourful fine art pet photography, Josie offers relaxed sessions for pets and their owners, creating stunning, heirloom quality images that can be treasured when they are no longer around. I believe in capturing every pet’s character & quirks, telling their story so that you have the perfect way to express how much they mean to you. Whether it’s wagging tails, soulful eyes, or goofy smiles, her hope is to immortalise their personalities by capturing everything that makes your pet your best friend.

In essence, what differentiates her from other photographers is her dedication to providing a seamless, high quality service, from the initial consultation and the session, right through to creating stunning heirloom products that will take my clients’ images to the next level.

Adrian’s style is modern contemporary and he only work outdoors in natural settings where the dogs are comfortable and Happy.  Apart from artistic natural portraits with dogs in landscape. He also specialises in action photography which he also likes to to capture in natural and interesting scenery using will choreograph shots to achieve this.  He call this ‘Art in Action’ as an unique and challenging style.

Caroline Trotter is based in Scotland ‘we have natural light and wonderful places for walks – the best environment for photographing your four legged friends.’ Whether running in a favourite park, or on the beach, or just playing in your garden, she will photograph your pets to catch their personalities and characters. A typical session will take up to two hours – depending on how excited your pet is! she comes armed with a camera, balls toys and a few treats!

Natalie Shaw

We at Pets in Portrait think that Natalie’s work is stunning and she supports Doris Banham Dog Rescue ‘I use my photography where I can, to help them, whether financially or photographing the dogs in their care to help find them a home’ We really recommend you have a look at her work.

Ben Unwin

Ben’s background before photography is from editing photos for other pet photographers so he has a keen eye for detail, and understanding of his surroundings and how they affect the final photo. Also, he can make leads disappear, so if the dog is required to stay on a lead, he can easily make the lead disappear in editing after the shoot. He is incredibly patient when it comes to shooting a pet – and we would really recommend him here at Pets in Portrait

This completes our top 10 best pet photographers. Don’t hesitate to check them out for yourself!
