The new Recipe book is here – Fife Fishermen and their recipes, and the exhibition opens at the Anstruther Fisheries Museum on 13th February
This has been a year long project between myself and my food writer husband Christopher, it is a record of some of the people who make, or have made their living or part of a living from fishing from the shores around the East Neuk of Fife. From Lower Largo in the South, to St Andrews in the North and all the beautiful villages in between – St Monans, Pittenweem, Anstruther , Cellardyke and Crail. These photographs provide a moment in the lives of the characters involved in the fishing industry past and present.
The result is a collection of black and white portraits that capture the essence of the men who have devoted their lives to the sea at home and beyond.
To accompany the exhibition is a book with the portraits and simple recipes with a colour photo of the dishes Size 8″ x 6″ paperback
