Where’s home?
Although originally from Yorkshire, I now live in Fife overlooking the sea, with my husband – food writer and chef, Christopher Trotter.
We have two woofles, Tilly age 16 and Toby age 1- a re-home who is in training to be the office manager, currently just an office junior. He has replaced Mungo who went to doggie heaven earlier this year.
6 hens and now 4 chicks from eggs that arrived in the post!!. Our two boys have left home - but what a journey that was and still is.
What makes me tick ......
I love coffee (real stuff of course!), good food and cooking – that was my first career! And Travel! [ See the 'Shop' ]
To keep fit - it's tennis, golf [ took it up in covid and I am now officially obsessed !] , yoga and long walks on the beach with the dogs.
My ideal weekend [ whats that?] a game of golf or tennis and catching up with chums over supper and a bottle of wine, oh and getting out with my camera!
Must visit local faves
I love the diversity of our local, independent and friendly businesses . Here are a few that spring to mind immediately :-
Ardross - local vegetables, meat and all things yummy
The local village shop - Zaphyr goes above and beyond to keep the local community well stocked.
The Lundin Coffee Co - perfect for a cuppa and a natta after tennis.
The Dory Restaurant - Pittenweem harbour. Nowhere better for inventive fish . Ruth is passionate about local and home grown produce.
The Crusoe - Lower Largo for a walk and supper - right on the harbour
The Peat Inn - Christopher's favourite restaurant for a special occasion.
And a bit further afield we love The Inn on The Tay - a great place to escape to for a couple of nights.
I have been a photographer for about 30 years, but through word of mouth and the inevitable networking I have been full time for about 20 years.
I am a qualified member of the Master Photographers Association and the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. And have won several awards with them . Which I guess makes me an 'Award Winning Photographer'!
My approach to all of my shoots is to make it as easy as possible for you, with nothing being too much trouble.
''Caroline is a wonderful photographer for any occasion. Whether in her studio, gardens or on location, you feel relaxed and have fun too! We recently had a family shoot in the local woods. Well, what an amazing time we had.
The photos are lovely, and we have some fantastic memories
I highly recommend Caroline for all your photo needs'' Carole
